Why Use Cut Away Stabilizer?

How to Use

Use one of the pre-cut sheets or trim the backing to fit your hoop size. Place the backing underneath the garment, hoop the fabric and stabilizer together, then embroider your design.

After embroidery, remove the item from the hoop and trim away excess backing with sharp scissors or shears, leaving approximately 1/4" around the outside of the design. Rounding the corners can help prevent curling after trimming.

Helpful Hint

To avoid nicking the fabric while trimming, hold the backing as you cut and allow the garment to drape. Position the item so you can clearly see both the design edge and the fabric for a cleaner finish.
