Medium Weight Cut Away Stabilizer

Cut away backing remains behind the embroidery after trimming, helping the stitched design maintain its shape over time. This makes it especially useful for unstable fabrics, knits, and garments that stretch during wear or laundering. Choose white for lighter garments and black for darker garments where backing visibility matters.

How to Use

Use one pre-cut sheet or trim the stabilizer to fit your hoop size. Place the backing underneath the garment, hoop the fabric and stabilizer together, then embroider the design.

After embroidery, remove the item from the hoop and trim away excess backing with sharp scissors or shears, leaving approximately 1/4" around the outside of the design. Rounding the corners can help prevent curling later.
